Study On The Common Cold

bed

In a recent study researchers have found that people who get less then 7 hours of sleep a night are more likely to come down with a cold after being infected with a cold virus.  It shows that people who had 8 hours or more of sleep leading up to the experiment were less likely to come down with the common cold.  They showed that it is also important how much actual sleep is happening, not just how long the participants were in bed.  The participants sleep before hand was monitored, then they were watched and given a nasal drop of the virus during this study.
